Creative UK represents the cultural and creative industries with one united voice, holding government to account and influencing change. Our dedicated Policy and Research team work closely across DCMS (the Department for Culture, Media and Sport), DBT (Department for Business and Trade) and HMT (Her Majesty’s Treasury).

We champion the cultural and creative industries and advocate for the sector to be at the heart of economic and social policy. Our Summits and festivals brings industry and creators together with senior politicians, giving policy-makers and decision-makers a critical platform for sharing their vision for the sector. We have had Secretaries of State open Creative Coalition Festivals, and convened Cultural and Creative Industries Pavilions at Labour Party Conferences. We have worked closely with government and the Creative Industries Council to help shape the Creative Industries’ Sector Vision, which positions the Creative Industries as a key industrial sector.

We work with our members to influence government through high-profile campaigns, industry insights and authoritative responses to consultations and announcements. Our member-led  networks, roundtables and UK Council play a central role in shaping our priorities and amplifying the case for the UK’s Creative Industries. Learn about Creative UK membership here.

It is because of our members’ continued support, partnership and creative ideas that we have been able to respond quickly and effectively on issues that matter to them the most. Creative UK members can read our policy submissions and consultations on the exclusive Members Area of the Creative UK Portal.
