About the workshop:

This workshop will help creative founders understand their business as more than a product or service, but a system that can be designed.

Investment and commercial innovation expert Tim McSweeney will expose and demystify the underlying systems that empower any business. Attendees will explore ways to:

  • Better articulate their commercial ambitions
  • Understand market drivers and customer needs
  • Refine commercial models to better create and capture value
  • Assess strategic options for scale and growth

This workshop will help founders to transform creative products or services into sustainable creative enterprises.

 

About workshop leader Tim McSweeney:

Tim sits at the heart of commercial innovation; working at the intersection of large multinational corporations, innovative ventures, investors and policy-makers. With Creative UK, Tim is an advisor and mentor for the BFI-funded Creative Enterprise programme and the lead business mentor for the Create Growth Programme in the South East.

Eligibility:

We have limited spaces available on Business By Design; businesses must be based or work in North of Tyne and working in the creative and cultural industries to be eligible to register for a ticket.

 

About Creative UK North East:

This workshop is part of the North of Tyne Culture and Creative Investment Programme, offering comprehensive financial and business support. It’s open exclusively to freelancers and businesses in the culture and creative industries of North Tyneside, Northumberland, and Newcastle. The programme is delivered by Creative UK and generously funded by the North of Tyne Combined Authority.
