Money is naturally one of the biggest concerns especially if you work freelance. You are likely to have an irregular or uncertain income. It doesn’t matter whether you consider yourself as being good with money numbers or not. To be successful, you have to take ownership of your finances and know what you need to earn to survive. The good news is that it’s not too difficult to do.
Your value in the marketplace is not easy to assess, but there are strategies that can help you identify the correct pricing level for where you are now. And as you gain experience and skills, you can raise your rates. But before you work out what you think you might be able to charge, you’ve got to work out how much you need to earn to live the life you want to lead.
In this workshop, Alison Grade will take you through the steps to creating your Individual Living Budget and then how to use this to work out how much work you need to do across a year to pay the bills and then how to determine your value in the marketplace.
