If there is a problem with a joke, it is almost always in the set up.
The same applies to a show. If it is a damp squib at the end, that usually comes from the start not making sense.
The same applies to a speech.
The same applies to a presentation.
The power at the end comes from clarity at the start.
This is one of many little tricks Lee Kyle has picked up in a decade and a half as a stand up comedian.

Lee Kyle is one of the most versatile comedians working in the UK today, from alternative clubs to corporate events, family shows to compering rowdy comedy clubs, he is known for his quick mind and ability to adapt.
But it is thoughtful and punchy solo shows that are really his forte, with his last show ‘England’s Best Comedian’ (About overcoming self doubt and trauma) seeing him debut at the Tyne Theatre in April 2024.
Much respected by his peers, he is often called on to direct shows for tours and festivals. He has cast his eye over shows by Edinburgh Award nominees Louise Young and Chris Cantrill and specialises on working with newer acts writing their first full length show – He loves nothing more than seeing a talented comedian realise that their material CAN become a show!
