Our Production Services team were on hand during early pre-production to assist producers at Tiger Aspect & Caryn Mandabach Productions find the necessary studio base/production office space. Together, the team decided upon Roundthorn Studios which was previously used by the hit TV series ‘Shameless’.

Amy Mobley, Drama Production Manager at Tiger Aspect said

“It is great having Creative England as a support service. The brilliant thing is having a team of people to sound ideas off for locations and studios that truly know the area and have good contacts and relationships already established. It makes the start-up process of a production run much smoother with this support.”

‘Peaky Blinders’’ Location Manager Tony Clarkson had this to say:

“It’s a while since I worked here in the North West and while it was always a naturally film friendly area the help and guidance from your office has made a big difference. I’m really looking forward to coming back here to work again as soon as possible”

The opening episode of the second series premiered in Birmingham on Sunday 21st September, with some of the stars gracing the red carpet including Cillian Murphy, Helen McCrory, as well as the show’s Birmingham-born creator Steven Knight.
