GMCS Consortium Relaunch: Talking Skills

TUE 21 MAY
3-5PM
AVIVA STUDIOS
WATER STREET, M3 4JQ

Creative UK have partnered with The Factory Academy team for a re-launch event for the Greater Manchester Cultural Skills Consortium on 21st May 3-5pm.

Back in 2018, several Greater Manchester cultural organisations came together to make a commitment to forming a cultural consortium as a catalyst to get our industry collaborating on skills and training. The world has changed significantly since then and the sector has seen many challenges, however we have received much interest for the reestablishing of the Consortium as we, more than ever, look at how we as a sector can support and advocate for our industry.

This event will bring about the opportunity to re-group, connect with new members, renew our commitment to making creative careers accessible, together and, with contributions from further and higher education leaders who are all keen to have discussions and conversations about the creative skills landscape, look at how collectively we can support to ensure a future talent pipeline of creative skills.

In partnership with Creative UK, the event will feature an exciting update on technical training, a reflection on successes to date and will give everyone a voice to collectively shape where the Consortium focuses its renewed energy going forward and will allow for discussions and networking with education leaders, discussing ways to collectively tackle this industry challenge.
