Manchester ProConnect

After 3 successful years, December officially sees the wrap up of our Manchester ProConnect programme.

Aimed at production companies, facilities, sole traders and supply chains, the project was an innovator and champion for those looking for support in the film and TV industry.

100% funded through ERDF (European Regional Development Fund), Manchester ProConnect offered bespoke, specialised support and featured workshops, one-to-one consultations with industry experts as well as our ever-popular networking events. Breaking down barriers to the industry, the project was a maverick for its focus on unlocking opportunities to a wider pool of talent, from experienced crew to new entrants.

Delivered by the Creative England’s Production Services team, we pulled out all the stops to ensure our beneficiaries received cutting-edge guidance and advice to bolster confidence and kick-start their careers.

In 3 years, we supported a whopping 282 production companies and freelancers, and delivered 25 workshops – covering topics such as how to access government tax breaks, how to market yourself or your business and crucial pitching and presentation sessions.

The programme harmonised with Creative England’s underlying ethos that talent maybe everywhere, but opportunity is not. We have met with some truly original, consummate and regional talent, but know that some experiences only come via the chance to learn and experiment.

So whilst the programme may be wrapping up, Creative England remain committed to showing support to those who need it, and we are urging all our ProConnectors to stay in touch!

Wishing everyone a wonderful, creative 2019.
