Pin Cushion

When a socially awkward teen and her outcast mother become targets for pettiness and cruelty, they seek refuge in an elaborate fantasy world of their own making, written and directed by Deborah Haywood and produced by Gavin Humphries.

Pin Cushion was financed by BFI and filmed on location in the East Midlands. It premiered at Venice Critics Week and was nominated for two BIFAs.

Deborah Haywood made various shorts and was a Screen Star of Tomorrow before making her debut feature.
