Through the Culture and Creative Investment Programme, we are investing £1.5 million through equity and loans on behalf of the North East Combined Authority, as sustainable finance for commercially viable, growth-minded businesses, that are innovative, operate in the creative and cultural sector, and are able to deliver meaningful impact in the region.

North East Shared Success Fund

Impact:

Since January 2022, we have invested £3.5m through the North East Culture and Creative Investment Programme, via loans, equity and revenue share investments.

The fund has demonstrated the value of businesses in the region, with £7m generated in match investment – effectively 2x of match generated for every pound invested by the fund, equating to more than £10m of total funds deployed in the sector within the region.

We are thrilled to have received this investment from the Culture & Creative Investment Programme. The award will enable us to employ two more incredibly talented developers, Chris Honniball (CIO & co-founder) and Kamil Zurek – as well as giving us the funds to bolster our marketing team and strategy.

This is our second investment round but significantly larger than the first, with more complex mechanisms involved. Creative UK were patient, transparent and incredibly helpful throughout the whole process and it’s a huge boost to know that they have our best interests at heart and are just as motivated to see the business succeed as we are.
