COP27: The Essential Briefing

What’s the difference between COP26 and COP27? And why is there another COP anyway?
Join BBC Climate Editor, Justin Rowlatt, to find out everything you need to know about the next major UN Climate Conference – COP27, which is happening in Egypt from 6-18 November.
We will give you information on why the conference matters, what the major themes and talking points are likely to be, and what the UK Government’s role is (having hosted COP26 in Glasgow last year). Hosted by Gaby Hornsby, BBC TV Sustainability Lead. With live captions and BSL interpreters.

Design For Planet Festival 2022
Join the Design Council on 8-9 November as they take action on the climate crisis, helping designers and businesses make their sustainability plans a reality. The two day online festival is packed with free practical workshops and panel discussions giving you the tools you need to use design in tackling the climate crisis.
CRAIC’22
CRAIC’22 is an arts-industry-innovations networking event, taking place 25 October at Hackney Bridge and online. It is designed to help creative freelancers form new alliances and find inspirational new ideas to help them survive and thrive in this new, uncertain world. You can drop in or stay all day, in person and online – it comprises short hour-long sessions with super-short presentations followed by networking to help form new alliances, inspire new ideas and find new ways to collaborate.

Report: Generation Divided and how to bridge society’s division
FleishmanHillard have release of a new report, ‘Authentic Insights: The Culture Gap, Introducing Gen D’, made in partnership with Columbia University’s Kai D. Wright. The study unpacks a new generation, Generation Divided (Gen D), at a time when people aren’t just feeling divided within communities; they are feeling a divide within themselves. The global research report points to new cultural dividers in society causing brands’ need to rebuild and readjust.

Watch Again: Climate Creatives 2022
Climate Creatives 2022 is now available for you to watch again. Hear the inside track from commissioners, producers and writers who tell climate stories to millions. There were thirty amazing speakers across ten sessions, as well as two postcard films and one song, plus hear from the BBC’s Director-General Tim Davie.
Holding/Holding On – National Theatre of Scotland
National Theatre of Scotland present a filmed reading of Nicola McCartney’s script HOLDING/HOLDING ON exploring Scotland’s care system is to be released for three weeks from 21 October 2022, to mark National Care Leavers’ Week.
The film will be accompanied by Care, Love and Understanding – a panel discussion filmed during the Scottish Parliament’s Festival of Politics 2022. Available to watch freely on the National Theatre of Scotland website until 10 November 2022.
The Perception Census
Introducing the Perception Census: a new scientific study into the unique ways we each experience the world around us. Led by world-leading academics Professor of Neuroscience Anil Seth from the University of Sussex and Professor of Philosophy Fiona Macpherson from the University of Glasgow, this ground-breaking study is part of the Dreamachine programme.
