The Big Freelancer Report 2022
The Big Freelancer Survey aims to provide a detailed report of the past 12 months, this data will feed into ongoing lobbying of both industry bodies and government, informing them where support is most needed and what the greatest issues facing freelancers are.
This is Music 2022 Report
UK Music, the collective voice of the UK music industry, has published its This Is Music 2022 annual report, which reveals how the sector began to recover from the initial impact of the pandemic. Unveiling the report, UK Music Chief Executive Jamie Njoku-Goodwin said the economic findings showed why the Government should act to support the music industry, which still faces a “major threat from strong economic headwinds”.
UK Fashion & Textile Association – Energy Snap Survey
UKFT has been raising the critical impact of energy costs to the fashion and textiles industry to the government. The newly announced Energy Bill Relief Scheme will see a cut in energy bills for businesses, however we want to make sure that this scheme is working for our industry.
The scheme will be reviewed in 3 months time, therefore to be prepared with evidence and arguments to ensure that it is fit for purpose, UKFT is undertaking a snap survey to gain vital information on energy usage and the knock-on impact on supply chains.

Focused on creative climate leadership and justice, We Make Tomorrow 2022 summit takes place on Thursday 13 October in Birmingham and online. Join discussions and workshops with 30+ pioneering speakers, including artists, activists, scientists, policymakers and writers; interspersed with musical and artistic performances, and theatrical interventions.
The Perception Census
Introducing the Perception Census: a new scientific study into the unique ways we each experience the world around us. Led by world-leading academics Professor of Neuroscience Anil Seth from the University of Sussex and Professor of Philosophy Fiona Macpherson from the University of Glasgow, this ground-breaking study is part of the Dreamachine programme.

Student Mentoring Opportunity at Kingston University
Beyond Barriers is a mentoring scheme to help students from under-represented groups in Higher Education achieve their potential through a tailored one-to-one relationship. Mentors support the students by offering guidance, encouraging new experiences and positive choices, and inspiring self-confidence. The scheme runs for six months from November and requires a commitment of two hours per month. Mentors need to have at least three years of professional experience.
Policy & Research Officer – Society of London Theatre
Working within the Policy & Public Affairs team this role requires an interest in, and ability to, research in order to produce an evidence base to allow for the development, delivery and evaluation of our policy and advocacy activities. If you have a love of politics and culture, and preferably experience of contributing evidence to parliamentary and government consultations, this could be the job for you.

Applications are open for 13-16 year olds to join the National Saturday Club
Joining the National Saturday Club is a unique opportunity for 13-16-year-olds to study subjects they love for free at their local university, college or cultural institution. Club members take part in weekly classes led by expert tutors as well as exciting national events including Masterclasses with industry and a Summer Show exhibition of their work. Through the programme, Club members learn new skills, discover their talents, meet new people, and find out more about future study and careers.
