Alex Brees, Founder, un:hurd

By combining fragmented promotional tools into one intelligent system, un:hurd is reshaping how independent music is marketed at scale. Founded in 2020 by CEO Alex Brees, London-based un:hurd is an AI-driven music marketing platform supporting more than 185,000 independent artists worldwide. The company has grown organically by 663% in two years, and retains 80% of artists per release cycle.

With a clear path to profitability forecast for 2026, the investment provides the capital required to scale efficiently, enhance its technology offering and position the company for a larger institutional raise as it continues to innovate within music marketing data.

Alex Brees, Founder at un:hurd commented:

Our mission to empower the next generation of artists to build sustainable careers has been steadfast for the last four years. As we move to the next phase of our journey, we’re proud to partner with Creative UK, whose thesis to support the Creative sector in the UK was well aligned with our ambitions in the UK and beyond. This investment will help us impact hundreds of thousands of artists with a deeper and broader toolkit and we’re excited have this next phase unlocked by the capital injection.

Hannah Upton, Investment Manager at Creative UK also commented:

We’re really excited to be backing un:hurd with an investment from our Creative Growth Finance fund. What Alex and the team has built so far is genuinely impressive to see, and we’re proud to be able to support them through their next development phase.
