Helena BerryDigital Marketing Manager

Helena is responsible for leading Creative UK’s digital marketing strategy. As a Chartered Marketer, she uses her experience and skills to grow our online presence and connect us with creative individuals across the UK. Before joining the Creative UK team, Helena worked within the University of Cambridge’s tech transfer office, Cambridge Enterprise, helping academics to develop their ideas and grow their businesses by connecting them with the right support, funding and networking opportunities.

Jordan is the Social Media Manager for Creative UK, sharing the organisation’s industry successes, funding opportunities and support schemes for an ever growing audience of creative professionals online. multiple products including membership, investment, business and production support. With support from the Brand team, Rachel developed our brand identity and the multi-year strategy of bringing together two leading national organisations under one cohesive brand as Creative UK.

Prior to this, Rachel has over 15 years of experience in the creative industries, spanning multiple sectors and disciplines. A creative marketer, passionate about driving change through strategic, innovative campaigns, Rachel has experience within different types of organisations including independent media agencies and global corporations as Universal Pictures, Midway Games and Sony Pictures in London and Sydney.

Andrea has over 10 years experience in the membership industry. Whilst at Creative UK Maia spearheaded the Creative Coalition Festival. Prior to this role, she was Head of Creative Communities at a major global charity, responsible for uniting creative thinkers and commissioning cross-sector collaborations. Maia sits on the Editorial Board of the World Congress of Science and Factual Producers, and is a Trustee at Artbox London. With a former career producing and directing documentaries for the BBC, Maia is always open to hearing your creative project ideas.

Carrie joined Creative UK in 2021 as the Crew and Facilities Assistant. Working with the Filming in England team, she helps run the Crew and Facilities Database, and is currently working on improving the accuracy of the database and making it more inclusive. Part of the Production Services Team, Hannah is the lead for the Filming in England Partnership which aims to bring together key organisations that work and help facilitate Film and TV productions in England, outside of London, to create a film friendly environment and unlock England’s full potential as a world-class destination for Film and TV production. Prior to joining the team at Creative UK, Hannah gained nearly 12 years’ experience working across Film and TV, in both production and post-production, which included working within the team at the British Film Commission. With her past experience, Hannah is an enthusiastic advocate of the UK’s screen industries, in particular the talent and opportunities available throughout the nation, outside London.

Hayley provides leadership and advocacy for the sector whilst developing partnerships with local government and key stakeholders to nurture a film-friendly production environment. Hayley started out at the Film Commission for Hertfordshire and holds over 20 years’ experience of delivering production services and championing England as a world-class filming destination.

Joely as our Production Liaison Manager based at Elstree Studios, provides a comprehensive production liaison support service to film & high-end TV productions in the South East and East of England – coordinating filming enquiries and working with local authorities, film offices and national industry partners to promote film friendly activity in the region. Prior to joining the team in January 2020, Joely was the Marketing and Events Manager for Elstree Studios for over five years. Joely brings with her industry experience in getting things done, working with councils, building relationships and making Location Manager’s lives easier.

Jonny SheltonProduction Liaison Manager (North & Midlands)

Jonny is the Production Liaison Manager for the North West and Midlands, within the Filming in England Team who support the HETV and Feature Industry across England outside of LDN. Jonny spends most of his time facilitating shoots across these regions for the many HETV Dramas and Features that shoot on location, working alongside industry and local authorities to ensure shoots are smooth and mutually beneficial, and has aided the Bond franchise, the Marvel universe and the Mission Impossible franchise, in addition to the world’s biggest streaming services and domestic broadcasters. Before joining the team, Jonny worked as crew on independent productions for Fox/Hulu in Manchester, and whilst working in education prior to this, maintained several voluntary roles in music, theatre and festivals.

Sam works closely with productions, providing a bespoke crewing service to companies working in feature film, TV and commercials, identifying the appropriate crew and talent for projects. Sam also hosts national crew networking evenings, and in the past has worked across ERDF funded projects for business development in the film & TV sector. Prior to working at Creative UK, Sam worked as a Coordinator and Secretary on low-budget film projects, helping to source and recruit freelancers. Productions she has worked on include Peaky Blinders, Bridgerton and Midas Man.

Prior to joining Creative England, Charlotte supported charity film projects and contributed to organising events for the Public Service Broadcasting Trust, held at the BFI and ITV Studios. Whilst at Creative UK, Charlotte is responsible for successfully delivering our ERDF funded project – Hertfordshire ProConnect – a programme of support for the film & TV industry running workshops, networking events, tailored one-to-one sessions and business grants. She is looking forward to continuing to provide industry support within the Production Services team.

Josh BakerLocations and Partnerships Coordinator

Josh works as the Locations & Partnerships Coordinator at Creative UK, managing 18,000 locations throughout England on the

Creative England location database and scouting potential new film friendly locations that help promote the regions outside of London.

His experience in the film industry has seen him work in production and development at BAFTA winning and Oscar nominated production company, Bridgeway Films, and also locations on films such as Paddington 2. Josh location managed the independent feature film, Nocturnal, which premiered at London Film Festival in 2019.

Cassandra joined the finance team in 2018 following 4 years previous experience working within the finance departments of other small companies within the southwest. Her role as Finance Officer covers the oversight and processing of the sales and purchase ledger, financial analysis for budget holders, co-ordination and payments of investments and management and monitoring of loan recoupment. In her free time she enjoys meeting up for coffee, boardgames and knitting groups.

James joined Creative UK in 2021. He is an ACCA qualified accountant with several years’ experience in the not-for-profit sector. As Management Accountant, James is responsible for financial reporting (both internally and to funders), budgeting, payroll, and financial management of subsidiaries. In his spare time he enjoys walking, swimming, and cycling.

As Head of Finance at Creative UK, Jennie is responsible for leading the day to day operations of the finance team, financial business partnering, analysis and reporting, and supporting the Senior Leadership team to ensure the financial sustainability and growth of the organisation. Prior to joining Creative UK, Jennie worked as Director of Production & Programming Finance at The Walt Disney Co. providing financial oversight and management of original TV & film productions across the EMEA region, and managing programming finance for the EMEA Disney Channels. A qualified Chartered Accountant, Jennie also worked in Production & Programming Finance roles at Warner Media & Red Bull. Jennie is passionate about working in, and supporting, the creative sector. An active outdoor enthusiast, Jennie loves running, hiking & skiing, preferably beneath a bright blue sky.

Mehjabeen PatrickCFO/ Investment Director

Mehjabeen is our CFO and Investment Lead and has played a key role in the growth of the CUK group since 2010. With over 25 years’ experience of working in senior finance and management positions, Mehjabeen oversees all investment and finance activities for the group and has a keen interest in growing its commercial revenues. Her passion lies in supporting businesses, helping them to grow, scale and prosper and enabling public and private partnerships to build and flourish. In addition to her day job Mehjabeen is on the Board of various organisations and small businesses. Previously Mehjabeen worked as Director of Finance for United Nations Association and Stakeholder Forum- an international environmental NGO. At both these organisations she gained valuable experience of working with multinational and multi government organisations from across the world. Before this Mehjabeen worked as a senior banker for world’s first and only Bank for women – First Women Bank. At the bank Mehjabeen led regional team and help grow the bank in its early stages of development. Mehjabeen has an MBA with majors in Corporate Finance & Financial Management.

Gab NardoInvestment Manager/Analyst

Gab is responsible for the origination, execution and management of growth investments under the Creative Growth Finance programme. Prior to Creative England, he spent 10 years in the investment management industry, covering different strategies, products and regions. He enjoys exploring new investment opportunities and build value-added partnerships with founders and managers of exciting businesses.

Caroline is Chair of Industry Panels for the Creative Industries Policy and Evidence Centre, a Fellow of the Churchill Foundation, and cycles with Velo Club Godalming Haslemere in her spare time.

Amanda StevensHead of Research and Impact

As Head of Research and Impact Amanda leads Creative UK’s work in developing unique insight into the UK’s world-leading creative industries and demonstrating the sector’s huge social and economic impact. She is also Creative UK’s lead for developing research collaborations, and is always keen to support and connect with other organisations who are planning or carrying out sector research.

Amanda has over a decade and a half of senior-level research experience gained from previous roles in consultancy, academia, central and local government and the not-for-profit sector.

In her spare time Amanda enjoys walking and CrossFit, and is a budding landscape photographer; currently studying for a Level 3 diploma in photography.

Paul has worked extensively with filmmakers and creatives through our programmes and funds, including iFeatures, West Midlands Production Fund, Lottery funds and Sky partnership. He is Executive Producer on our film and TV slate, ranging from Steve McQueen’s Small Axe for the BBC and Netflix Original Calibre, to theatrical releases including White Riot, Benediction and The Colour Room. He has also Executive Produced numerous short films, including a BIFA winner and BAFTA nominee. Paul has over 20 years experience working across film, TV, radio and theatre, with a longstanding commitment to new/emerging talent and regional voices.
