Creative UK invests into software developer, Sceenic through Creative Growth Finance fund

Creative UK is pleased to announce a new investment into Sceenic as part of the company’s Series A fundraise. The award-winning tech start-up, Sceenic, whose co-viewing technology is a leader in the global market, will use the investment to further its innovations within the shared experiences space. Sceenic’s white label product ‘Watch Together’ enables content distributors to offer co-viewing experiences to their customers whilst generating valuable data and insights.

The company was founded in 2015 by Jonathan Williams, Paul Bojarski and Aharon Yechezkel and serves a portfolio of blue-chip media corporations that includes BT Sport, YES Network, PCCW and FIFA among others. Having achieved significant success with household name clients, Sceenic is now fundraising in a bid to expand the scope of its technologies to data-based services, offering insight solutions to its client base and scaling up operations across the globe.

Investment Manager, Gab Nardo

Gab Nardo, Investment Manager, Creative UK, said:

Sceenic was one of the first investment conversations I picked up when I joined Creative UK two years ago. Paul, Jonny and Aharon immediately impressed with their vision, intimate knowledge of their market and a strong “doer” attitude. And of course, their product and technology were a big draw. Though in 2021 it was not yet the time for Creative Growth Finance to invest into Sceenic, we stayed close to the company and observed the efficient delivery of their business plan. We are very excited to have the opportunity to be part of Sceenic’s future growth with this investment and look forward to supporting them into their next stage of development.”

Jonathan Williams, Chief Operating Officer at Sceenic, commented:

Creative UK’s investment in Sceenic is a testament to our team’s hard work and dedication to delivering the best possible technology for our clients. The Creative UK Investment team have shown real passion for the business and backed up their belief in our growth plan with this investment that will help us to reach our next stage.

With this new investment round, Sceenic will continue to focus on growing to create and power more shared experiences that bring people closer together around their favourite platforms.
