Devon Create Growth Programme – Launch events

To celebrate the new Create Growth Programme in Devon, we’re holding launch events across the region to meet with creative businesses and offer the opportunity to network as you learn about the new programme.

Torbay – Wednesday 24th January

Join us at The Palace Theatre, Paignton on Wednesday 24th January for our free launch event as we introduce the new Devon Create Growth Programme, delivered in partnership with Torbay Council.

This includes:

• Drinks, nibbles and networking upon arrival from 5.30pm
• Presentations to introduce the programme (with Q&A) from 6pm
• Additional networking opportunities until event ends at 7.30pm

Plymouth – Thursday 1st February

Join us at the University of Plymouth in the Roland Levinsky Building on Thursday 1st February for our free launch event as we introduce the new Devon Create Growth Programme. Drinks and nibbles included.

Arrive from 4pm, with presentations due to start at 5pm from:

• Suzie West, Lead Programme Manager for Devon and Cornwall at Creative UK will outline the new programme
• Representatives from University of Plymouth will discuss opportunities for creative entrepreneurs and founders
• Hannah Harris will further speak on opportunities for creatives in the wider Plymouth area
• We will also hear from local businesses and their founders like Lindsey Hall of Real Ideas, sharing their experience on the programme

The Create Growth Programme is funded by the Department for Culture Media and Sport (DCMS) and aims to support creative businesses in planning for growth and exploring and securing commercial investment opportunities. 

The programme will be delivered by Creative UK in partnership with West of England Combined Authority, Plymouth City Council, Torbay Council, Devon County Council, Exeter City Council, University of Plymouth, Plymouth Culture and Real Ideas Organisation.
