Introducing the latest North East Create Growth Programme cohorts

We’re excited to introduce the next set of businesses who will be taking part in the North East Create Growth Programme.

The latest North East Create Growth Programme cohorts have met for their first workshops as they embark on a six-month programme of support to get their businesses ready for investment.

The introductory workshops were held at Northern Stage, right at the heart of Newcastle City Centre. The workshops coincided with graduations taking place outside, setting an appropriate tone for our new cohort members as they begin their next chapter as business owners.

We opened with an introduction to the programme, its partners and Creative UK, before we got the cohort to stand up and introduce themselves. We invited our Investment Manager Rahul Misra on to talk about Investment opportunities that were open to North East Businesses.

Our Lead Mentor Cath Ellington led a session based on visions and values, and the development of business plans. You could feel a buzz in the air as the cohort began thinking about the reasons why they started the business and the visions they had for them as the begin their journey on the Create Growth Programme.

The group were all engaged and working well together, making connections and bouncing off each other as they discussed their aspirations and experiences – a great opening session as they embark on a six-month programme of workshops and mentoring to prepare for growth an investment.
