Mind Feast Games

Building connections through gaming, Mind Feast Games, develops online games that add more social value to the digital experience. With combined decades of game design and programming behind them, founders Shaz Yousaf and Rupert Key come to the keyboard with a wealth of experience.

Together they established Mind Feast Games in 2020, with a desire to move away from the siloed gaming model and instead encourage players to collaborate, communicate and care for one another. Their latest accessible multiplayer video game, Co OPERATION: MulitTurn,  has been developed with feedback from Basel University Masters students in Switzerland. As well as developing online games the team is also working with AIFashion Metaverse businesses and research academics on design theory applications with the potential to break down barriers between players from different places, ages, and linguistic backgrounds. Alongside this, Mind Feast Games is interested in expanding into social and healthcare and marine conservation sectors, turning educational and engagement-driven briefs into co-designed, and collaborative gaming experiences.

“Our mission is to help people feel emotionally and socially connected to each other through gaming.”

How did Mind Feast Games evolve over the programme?

Mind Feast Games has been tapping into more collaborative projects through a widening of partnerships. Thanks to securing investment from the UK Games Fund, UK Kickstart scheme, Cultivator, Innovate UK, and Creative UK, the team has been able to expand to include talented and multidisciplinary team members, including 2D and 3D designers, a community manager, and an additional programmer.

Growing with Creative UK

“Creative UK did a good job of trying to connect us with relevant advisors and potential collaborators. Through the events and introductions, we have secured a work-for-hire project. We’re still pursuing angel funding and one of our advisors will be able to introduce us to a games investment collective after we finish some updates.”

Where they’re setting their 2024/25 sights…

The team is on a trajectory to finish and release their first game, Co OPERATION, in early 2025. They are also prototyping a series of new games to bring to market, alongside securing investment to enable them to release future gaming products, with the goal of becoming financially self-sustaining. They have also been exploring the potential for social, dual-screen games, using their ‘MultiTurn’ systems, which can be used by other companies.
