Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Advisory Group: open to applications, your opportunity to make a difference!

Creative UK is the independent network for the UK Creative Industries. Our goal is simple: to cultivate a world where creativity is championed, valued, and nurtured.

We value difference and celebrate the creativity that it brings. We are committed to improving diversity and inclusion across our organisation and industry by championing a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, identities, talents, and physical and cognitive differences.

The EDI Advisory Group helps Creative UK to develop and respond to internal and external policies, practices, and consultations ensuring diversity and inclusion are fully considered, seeking to ensure that everyone engaging with Creative UK is treated equitably, with dignity and respect, and that the industry at large becomes more diverse and inclusive.

Do you have experience of advancing opportunities for underrepresented groups in the cultural and creative industries?

As the EDI Advisory Group (EDIAG) transitions into its second year, we are seeking to grow and refresh the group’s membership and strengthen the group’s governance and role within the organisation.

We are seeking up to 8 individuals with experience, skills and knowledge that complement existing advisory groups members, to guide us on improving our reach, relevance, and impact in support of communities that are underrepresented in the cultural and creative industries. The EDIAG will draw on your knowledge of engaging with or opening opportunities for diverse communities to enable more people from underrepresented groups to benefit from our services and opportunities available across the wider sector.

Areas of underrepresentation we are particularly seeking to address:

  • Low socio-economic background / working-class
  • Broader ethnic minority representation
  • Broader regional representation
  • Male representation
  • Representation from the devolved nations
  • Neurodivergent representation
  • Visual and performing arts
  • Screen beyond film/TV – i.e. games, immersive, video, photography etc.
  • Post 16 Education and Skills Providers
  • Music
  • Design / Architecture
  • Advertising / Marketing

This is your opportunity to help shape Creative UK’s ambitions within the creative industries to widen access to opportunities that enable creatives and creative organisations to thrive.

TO APPLY please send your CV with a brief cover letter or 1-2-minute video link to our Head of Equality, Diversity & Inclusion sarah.gregory@wearecreative.uk by 19 September 2025, with EDIAG Application In The Title Bar. You should focus on detailing how you can support Creative UK and the wider creative industries to engage in more diverse, equitable and inclusive ways.

Our EDIAG meets four times per year online with opportunities to consult on our policy and research positions throughout the year. Individuals, other than those employed in a sponsoring organisation, will be paid £80 per meeting. If you require support to access meetings, we will be happy to make adjustments by request.
