We know the screen industries are evolving fast. New technologies, shifting commissioning models, and uncertain distribution landscapes are rewriting the rules for film, TV, games, immersive and createch. For many businesses, it’s hard to keep pace – let alone plan ahead.
As The Next Act: A Vision for the UK’s Creative Future states:
“The next few years are going to be crucial in determining the long-term future of the UK’s creative and entertainment industries. The UK’s historic success and strong platform to build on are evident. But this alone cannot be relied on. A coherent strategy that addresses the megatrends reshaping this industry is urgently needed. Thankfully, this does not require huge amounts of new funding.”
Reframe is here to help you craft that coherent strategy.
This isn’t generic business support. It’s a targeted intervention, designed for screen-based companies that are navigating change and uncertainty in a fast-moving industry.
In a time where market conditions are shifting and the future can feel unclear, Creative Enterprise Reframe offers space, structure and expert guidance to help you reflect, adapt and move forward with greater clarity and confidence. Whether you’re responding to challenges or exploring new opportunities, we’re here to support you in shaping a sustainable and resilient future for your business.
“This has shifted my mindset from thinking of stories as linear products to viewing them as adaptable ecosystems, with potential to reach audiences in multiple ways and generate value beyond traditional publishing.” – Reframe 2024 Participant
Every business is different and there’s no single path to growth. Reframe is here to help you explore what’s right for your company, with expert guidance and space to think strategically.
Here are just a few examples of the types of changes businesses might explore through the programme:
Exploring new formats or platforms
e.g. expanding into immersive or AR content, or adapting existing work for different media or audiences
Adopting new technologies
e.g. using tools to streamline production, reduce costs or enhance creativity
Making better use of IP or exploring new revenue streams
e.g. licensing existing content, trying out new distribution or monetisation models
Reaching new audiences or markets
e.g. developing for international markets or building more direct relationships with your audience
Rethinking how the business operates
e.g. forming partnerships, developing a creative arm, or shifting away from project-by-project funding
These are just example, not expectations. You don’t need to have all the answers before you apply. If you know your business needs to evolve but aren’t sure exactly how, Reframe will help you figure that out.
Deadline for Round 2 is Tuesday 26th August at 5pm.
